2024 Be A Light Dance Competition

Registration is now open for the 3rd annual Be A Light Dance Competition that is organized by the Liberty High School Dance Team!

DATE: Sunday, October 20th. Competition to start at 9 am.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday, September 20th. Schedule to be released by October 1st.

LOCATION: Iowa City Liberty High School (1400 Dubuque St NE, North Liberty, IA 52317)

SOLOS, DUETS, TRIOS - $100/routine

TEAMS - $150/routine

Invoices will be sent once registration closes.

Open to: High School (JV, Varsity, and Solos) as well as Studio (Solos, Duets, Trios, and All-Star)

Styles: Pom, Kick, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary

Categories will be determined by number of dancers for high school groups and age for solos/duets/trios.

Liberty's Be A Light Gathering - Dance Competition

Liberty's Be A Light Gathering is taking place Saturday October 15, 2022 and is open to the public. This is a dance competition celebrating the life of Brooke Langland. We encourage everyone to attend to watch some excellent dance solos and team competitions and help celebrate our Brooke. We hope to see some of you there. The schedule is attached. The Foundation

We have created The Langland Family Be A Light Foundation to honor and to remember the life of Brooke Anne Langland who died unexpectedly in November of 2020 from an acute pulmonary embolism. Brooke was a senior at Liberty High School.

2023 Langland Family Be A Light Foundation Grants

It's been 3 years since we lost our sweet Brooke. In that time, we have continued to grow her foundation.
